There are various houses connected with diseases in astrology, but when we go deeper into chart analysis, the potency of planets placed in the 11th house to disturb health can be far greater than expected.

The reason lies in its vibrational linkage.

The 11th house carries the combined vibration of both the 6th and the 12th houses:

It is 6th from the 6th house
It is 12th from the 12th house

Because of this, any planet placed in the 6th house will also reflect its disease-giving results through the 11th house. The same principle applies to planets placed in the 12th house — their health impact can echo into the 11th.

Jaimini Rishi explains that when a planet moves a certain number of houses away from a house, an image (Arudha/Plinth) of that house is formed at the same distance from its lord.

Venus (Ascendant lord) in 3rd house (Leo)
Count the same distance → Arudha Lagna falls in 6th house

Arudha Lagna represents the manifested reason of birth — the karmic projection of past life deeds.

That is why Arudha Lagna cannot remain in Lagna itself. If the Ascendant lord sits in Lagna, Arudha shifts to the 10th house — showing karma in action.
